The Memphis based wheelchair basketball team affiliated with the Memphis Grizzlies hit the courts for a cause Saturday.

The Rollin' Grizzlies participated in Arc Mid-South's annual Wheelchair Basketball Tournament as a way to participate in National Developmental Disabilities Month.

They played corporate organizations like Sam’s Club, Cargill, and Hershey's who had formed teams.

The Rollin' Grizzlies played the championship game against the top two high-scoring corporate teams.

"The idea here today is that the Rollin' Grizzlies are playing corporate teams so that the community will be more aware of what those with disabilities have to deal with in their lives," said Arc Mid-South Marketing and Development Manager Dotty Carter.

All the players used wheelchairs provided by the Rollin' Grizzlies and the corporate teams had to pay an entry fee to participate.

The funds raised through entry fees and sponsorships all went to support The Arc Mid-South programs and services.
