Photo Gallery | Workers make massive donation to food bank
(WMC-TV) – The Mid-South Food Bank received a big donation last week from the workers at the local American Home Shield Contact Center.
The group hoped to collect 1,500 cans over 20 days. However, they far exceeded their initial goal.
Employees donated 5,416 cans of food which will provide meals to many hungry Mid-Southerners.
“It’s always great when people get together to help others and the idea grows beyond anyone’s expectations,” said Estella Mayhue-Greer, Mid-South Food Bank president and CEO. “This food will provide more than 4,000 meals for those in need in our community.”
