Harbor Town lets the dogs out!

The Harbor Town Dog is letting the dogs loose during this year's show and, for the first time EVER, opening up the competition to Beautiful Hounds throughout the MidSouth.

And maybe then, the question of "Who Let the Dogs Out?" will finally be answered!!

The 10th annual event is set for Sunday, October 28th, 12 p.m. in Harbor Town's Nursery Park and, as always, promises loads of fun and laughs.

As in years past, this year's event benefits the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County.

There are updated, new and original competitions including: most obedient, least obedient, most glamorous, most mysterious heritage, original Costume, best float" and best vocal performance.

Local celebrities will be on hand to judge the four-legged competitors: Kevin Kane from the Memphis Convention and Visitor's Bureau, Dr. Susan Murrmann of the Murrmann Clinic, Emily Adams-Keplinger from the Commercial Appeal, FM 100's Ron Olsen and Judge Arnold Goldin, chancellor for the Shelby County Chancery Court.

Action News 5's Kym Clark will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies, while Greg-G will be on hand as Musical Director.

Also, artist Betsy Bird, who will unveil her official 2012 Harbor Town Dog Show art work.

The cost to registers is now $45 for the chance to compete in two categories.

Dogs are admitted free to the VIP green room as long as their human counterparts purchase a $20 ticket in advance, $25 day of the event.

That ticket comes with reserved seating, food, drink and treats for the dogs.

This year's Top Dog sponsor is the Downtown Animal Hospital.
