'Convoy of hope' returns to Memphis | Events
Convoy of Hope is coming back to Memphis this Saturday, September 7 at 10 a.m. in the Cook Convention Center downtown. This is a free outreach to those in the community in need of prayer, groceries, meals, health checks, clothing, shoes, and haircuts. Saturday, Convoy of Hope will have live entertainment, kid's and youth zone, and the event is open to the community.
In 2012 alone, Convoy of Hope has served over six million people and held 55 community outreaches worldwide. In June of 2012, Convoy of Hope provided their services at the Mid-South Fairgrounds only to be shut down by the Health Department due to intense heat.
Four individuals had to be rushed to the hospital during that event. This year, however, Convoy of Hope will not be under the threat of scorching temperatures and will remain open while supplies last, rain or shine.
