(WMC-TV) - An argument inside a Beale Street nightclub Sunday ended with aggravated assault charges against one man after he allegedly smashed another man in the face with a beer bottle.

The victim told police that he and Dax Nichols got into an argument inside Club 152 around 2:35 a.m. Sunday. But things escalated, according to court records, when the 34-year-old threw a beer bottle at the victim and it struck him in the face.

Police say the victim suffered cuts that required stitches at the hospital.

(WMC-TV) - A man ruined his night on Beale Street this weekend by trying to incite a crowd to attack police officers, according to court records.

Matthew Prager tried to get into Silky O'Sullivan's Saturday, but wasn't allowed into the bar because he had the wrong wristband, witnesses told police. Officers say they followed the stumbling, slurring 29-year-old as he left Beale Street and cursed at them the entire way.

(WMC-TV) - Several guests at a Memphis hotel had an unpleasant stay thanks to a thief, according to police.

Investigators say on Friday, a crook went into rooms at the Holiday Express, 1180 Union Ave., and stole credit cards and other items.
