Woman accused of ramming car carrying kids, teen | Crime
(WMC-TV) - A woman has been charged with aggravated assault after police say she slammed her car into another vehicle that was carrying 4 children and a teenager.
Dekandis Sutton was driving at a high rate of speed Monday when she tried to run over another woman near the intersection of Keel and Ayers, according to court records.
The woman, who had just stepped out of her own vehicle, narrowly avoided being hit, police said. However, Sutton's vehicle hit the second car, causing serious damage.
Investigators said 4 children under the age of 12 and a 17-year-old were inside the victim's car at the time of the wreck.
Sutton has been charged with 6 counts of aggravated assault.
