Director of "The Sandlot" will be at Autozone Park film showing | Community Spirit
Not only will the classic film "The Sandlot" be playing at Autozone Park this Friday Oct. 19, but the film's director writer/director will be there to meet fans.
Kids, parents, and fans of all ages will have the opportunity to meet David Mickey Evans both before and after the showing.
He will be signing memorabilia like posters, baseballs and pictures.
"It has always been a dream of mine to screen The Sandlot in great baseball stadiums. I am thrilled to bring the film to AutoZone Park (home of the Redbirds), smack in the middle of America where the film has always had its most enthusiastic fans," said Evans.
Individual tickets for the event are $7 or a family four pack can be purchased for $20. Tickets are available on the Memphis Redbirds' website here and a portion of all proceeds will go to charity.
The gates will open to the public at 6pm and the movie is scheduled to begin at 7:30pm.
