New candle shop coming to Downtown Memphis | Business

If you love candles and live in or near Downtown Memphis, you won’t have to travel far to get your candle fix.

The Downtown Candle Company is set to open in February 2013.

The Memphis Daily News reports the candle boutique will be located at 107 East G.E. Patterson Avenue. That’s near The Arcade restaurant.

The 1,500 square-foot retail space was recently vacated by Delphinium Boutique.

Owner and downtown resident Eumora Reese makes the candles from pure soybeans and botanical oils.

Reese told the newspaper she sold her products at various venues and decided to open up the store because “the demand just really, really grew.”
