Comcast is laying off 70 positions in Memphis.

The cable company confirms they are transferring customer dispatch operations from Memphis to other company locations.

Comcast also confirms they hope to add nearly 100 more positions in the next six months.

Eligible employees will be allowed to apply for the new positions.
