Bluff City goes 'Quacky' for Waterfowl Conference

Experts and researchers will flock to Memphis next week for the Ecology and Conservation of North American Waterfowl International Symposium from January 27 to the 31.

The conference, aimed at promoting the conservation of waterfowl and their habitats, will be held at the historic Peabody Hotel, home to the famous marching Peabody ducks.  Memphis-based Ducks Unlimited will be among the contributors at the conference.

"This symposium addresses the imperative within the waterfowl science community to expand our knowledge of the birds' basic biology and to build on this knowledge by opening new doors and planning for a strong future for waterfowl populations, their habitats and waterfowl supporters as well," said DU Chief Scientist Dale Humburg.

"We're also pleased to provide an opportunity for future waterfowl professionals to gain important insights from their colleagues and develop working relationships that will be critical to their careers."
