Memphis entertainers and local officials spent Saturday afternoon at Handy Park on Beale Street encouraging young voters to go to the polls on election day Tuesday.
It was a message with a beat and got people up off their feet.
“So we want people to do even if you early voted we want you to motivate people to get out and vote Tuesday because its vitally important to recognize that we have the right to get out and vote and it doesn't matter who you vote for,” said organizer
Andrew McCraven.
The group Eye to Eye was part of the musical lineup which included bluesman Preston Shannon, Queen of Beale Street Ruby Wilson and many more.
