Snuggie Pub Crawl to benefit charity
Events

It’s that time of year again. Crisp fall nights are perfect for cozying up in your beloved Snuggie. The time is nearing to bar hop on Beale Street in our sleeved blankets to raise money and awareness for Amelia’s Voice for RRP. Last year’s event was huge, and with many more venues involved this year, River City Management Group LLC is planning an even bigger and better Snuggie Pub Crawl. The date to save for this highly anticipated event is Friday, Nov. 19.

All you need to join and enjoy the fun is a Snuggie, the blanket with sleeves. The Snuggie keeps you warm and gives you the freedom to use your hands to drink beer, shake hands or high five. Go crazy decorating your Snuggie and you could win the Snazzy Snuggie Contest. Prizes will be awarded in several categories, including Best Male, Best Female, Best Group, and Best in Show. Think outside of the box and get creative. Last year, the competition was fierce with many amazing ideas.

This year, participants can play for prizes with the addition of the Beale Street Bingo Run. Cards will be given at the registration table and the bingo numbers will be posted at each stop. Awards will be given to the first five bingo hands turned in at the awards ceremony. You could walk away with hundreds of dollars in prizes.

Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis (RRP) is a disease which causes tumors to grow inside the larynx, vocal cords and trachea.

Participants must be 21 years of age and wearing a Snuggie to join. Stay warm and look cool while bar hopping on historic Beale Street. Entry Fee is $10 with a portion of proceeds going to Amelia's Voice, a private benefit founded by Stephen and Kimberly Thompson. Learn more at www.rrpf.org or http://www.ameliasvoice.com.
